Summer Camps
Registration is now open for the all-day
PlayZone Day Camp and for the half-day
Summer Blast. A information/registration form is available (PDF) at the end

PLAYZONE SUMMER DAY CAMP
West Shore Recreation Commission once again is
offering a quality, structured day camp experience for your child this
summer.
Primary & Secondary programs will include organized activities and
special events such as: games, arts & crafts, swimming, roller skating,
field trips, prizes, sports, daily snack, special visitors, educational
activities and more.
O-Zone will focus on leadership and community service projects.
X-Zone is an on-the-go experience that includes visits to outdoor
pools, rope courses, amusement parks, etc.
Dates:
June 10 - August 8
(provided school ends on 6/6; start date may be
adjusted if needed).
Times:
Primary & Secondary Zones: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-5:45 pm
O-Zone meets Monday, Wednesday. & Friday
X-Zone meets Tuesday & Thursday

Primary Zone (K-8) - Fishing Creek Elementary
School
Secondary Zone (9-11) - Crossroads Middle School
O-Zone (12-14) - Crossroads Middle School
X-Zone (12-14) - Crossroads Middle School
Staff:
All children will be under the supervision of qualified staff with
education or recreation experience. An adult to child ratio of 1:12 will
be met during activity time (9:00 am - 3:30 pm).

SUMMER BLAST
Ð
Children 6 years of age (who have completed
kindergarten) through 12 years of age are invited to come enjoy fun games,
activities and crafts in an outdoor setting. Play typical playground games
such as kickball, wiffleball, Nok-hockey, capture the flag, and take part in
some fun activities related to the weekly theme. Instructors: West Shore
Rec Staff.

Monday thru Friday, 9 am-12 noon

Week 3: June 30 - July 3 (no 7/4)
Week 4: July 7 – 11

Special Notes:
Youth Scholarship Program: West Shore Recreation Commission provides
financial scholarships for selected recreation activities for students* who
are eligible for the free or reduced price school lunch program. Please
provide a recommendation from the school counselor or a copy of the letter
from WSSD regarding the lunch program with the registration form.
Scholarships are one-half the resident cost and are indicated with a
Ð symbol. All information will
be kept completely confidential.
